Following the death of the ‘Only Fools and Horses’ star Roger Lloyd Pack in 2014, Pancreatic Cancer UK launched a national fundraiser ‘Call Everyone Dave Day’ inspired by the character that Roger famously played.
As part of this fundraising initiative I invited artists, illustrators and celebrities to draw a famous Dave that were then sold via an auction. We were lucky enough to receive some wonderful artwork, including contributions from; Jim Field, Helen Green, Peter Strain and John Challis (who played Boycie in Only Fools).
Working alongside curator, Trevor Pitt, the Dave artwork were exhibited at the Secret Cellar, part of AceFace Barbers in Birmingham.
As well as co-curating the show, I created a tape portrait of David Brent and designed the label for, ‘Drawing Dave The Beer’, which was specially brewed by ‘Two Towers Brewery’ for the show.
